  Mark presented the NSMEA Wind Band Music Repertoire & Reading Session at the October 2007 conference in Baddeck. There was agreement that the music we teach, rehearse, and perform in schools is very important.

  Here are four documents from the session:

  • A summary of a 5-step repertoire preparation process.
  • Specific ideas pertaining to I Love My Love, A Renaissance Pageant, Ye Banks and Y Braes O Bonnie Doon, and Orion.
  • Participants ranking, out of 10, of the twenty-five works referenced in the NSMEA reading session.
  • An article on the dearth of quality repertoire used in school wind band music education.
